Real Salt Lake Academy forward Van Parker has been named to Canada’s U‑17 for the FIFA U‑17 World Cup in Qatar. The selection follows a breakout season in which Parker was a driving force behind RSL’s historic run through the Generation adidas Cup and MLS NEXT Cup, and it positions him to carry his academy form to the international stage. 

Van Parker’s international journey began in May 2025 with a call-up to Canada’s U-16 squad for a 16-team friendly tournament in Guadeloupe. His performances signaled a clear readiness to contribute to Canada’s tactical setup. 

By the time Canada secured qualification for its ninth FIFA U-17 World Cup through the Concacaf pathway, Van had firmly established himself within the national team picture. His involvement continued through recent camps and friendlies, including the final pre-World Cup camp, where he stood out against strong international opposition such as Morocco, Uzbekistan, and England. 

Van’s impact at the Generation adidas Cup earlier this year was immediate; he led Real Salt Lake Academy through the group stage and knockout rounds with consistent scoring, finishing as the tournament’s top goal scorer. In the final, he delivered both a goal and an assist, showcasing his ability to create and convert.
