What has returning to consistent playing time with Atlético Ottawa meant to you, both personally and professionally?

Everything. Being able to get back to consistent minutes has been great. As a young goalkeeper, minutes are everything, so when the opportunity came to join a club of this stature, with such a strong focus on developing young talent, I jumped at the chance.

Looking back at your journey through Toronto FC II, Forge FC and now Atlético Ottawa, how has each experience shaped you as a goalkeeper?

It’s been great for my development to learn from different coaches and work with so many top goalkeepers during my time with these clubs. It’s all about taking something from each experience and using it to make my game as sharp and well-rounded as possible.

You’ve had to stay patient at different points in your career. How did you remain mentally and physically prepared while waiting for another opportunity to play regularly?

The biggest thing I’ve learned about football so far is that you always need to be ready, especially as a goalkeeper. Your moments come when you least expect them, so there will always be a need to stay prepared.

It’s also about having the drive, whether you’re playing or not, to come in every day with intention and focus on getting better.

Now that you have the opportunity to establish yourself again, what do you want to prove to the league, the club and yourself?

For me, it’s about proving that I’m reliable and building trust with my teammates, the staff and the fans. Beyond that, I’m focused on developing every day and doing everything I can to help the team be as successful as possible.

What are you enjoying most about this chapter of your career with Atlético Ottawa, both on and off the pitch?

On the pitch, it’s been a pleasure working with such a young and talented goalkeeper group. Every day is extremely competitive, and our goalkeeper coach, Romuald Peiser, has been an amazing coach to learn from because of his vast experience.

Off the pitch, it’s been nice to have a new city to experience and explore, especially since my entire career has been in and around the GTA. Whether it’s finding a new coffee shop or checking out the markets, I’ve really enjoyed getting to know Ottawa.
