One Pro Sports Management is proud to announce the official signing of homegrown talent Van Parker to Real Salt Lake. This marks Parker’s first professional contract and an exciting milestone in his development.

Sweet birthday present as Van Parker puts pen to paper on his first professional contract with Real Salt Lake.

Real Salt Lake is widely respected for its competitive culture and strong commitment to developing young players. Parker is no stranger to the club, having previously progressed through their academy system, making the transition a natural next step in his career.

Parker, an attacker known for his speed, agility, and clinical finishing, has enjoyed a breakout year, helping his team capture both the GA Cup and the MLS NEXT playoff title. His standout performances earned him the playoff MVP honours and the Golden Boot. Additionally, his consistency and skill helped him earn a spot representing Canada at the U17 World Cup, showcasing his talent on the international stage.

Throughout his journey, Parker worked closely with Jacob Notkin, lead youth scout and advisor at One Pro Sports Management. Notkin praised Parker for his determination and grit:

“Van is a unique player who has an unmatched drive, he never stops and never quits, no matter what the game throws at him. He struggled with injuries at the beginning when we brought him on, missing close to half a year, but once he got fit he hit the ground running. Winning the GA Cup and MLS Next Playoffs was a massive turnaround for him. That push got him onto the U17 World Cup squad a year ahead of schedule and started to gain a lot of interest from scouts abroad.”

With the support of Notkin and the OPSM team, including CEO Jeff Addai, their guidance focused on helping Parker through his challenges and placing him in an environment that valued his growth and development. Notkin added:

“We were there to assist and support him from the sideline, making sure he was healthy and happy. With guidance from our team we helped negotiate a contract with Real Salt Lake that properly values Van. Now, returning from U17 World Cup qualifiers, we look forward to seeing how he performs in his first professional season with the Monarchs and RSL’s first team.”

Parker Shared his excitement:

“I’m excited to announce I signed my first professional contract with Real Salt Lake! I first want to thank God for I could not have done it without him. I want to thank my parents and family for being there with me from the start. I want to thank my coaches throughout the years and everyone who has believed in me. Thank you to OPSM for the help throughout the process. This is just the start and it’s only up from here.”
