Van Parker is a dangerous attacking player, building a reputation for his nose for goal and versatility in front of the net. His skill set and footballing intelligence have made him a standout player in Real Salt Lake’s academy, where he has consistently been one of the team’s most lethal finishers, finding the back of the net in nearly every game last season. The impact that he makes in the front line has opened the opportunity to play up with the RSL U18s as a 2009-born player this year in MLS Next. 

Van possesses a rare combination of speed, agility, and finishing ability, making him a constant threat to defenders. He excels at taking players on in one-on-one situations and knows how to exploit space off the ball, making incisive runs that lead to scoring opportunities. His proficiency with both feet, combined with his aerial prowess, allows him to finish from virtually any position on the pitch.

Soccer runs deep in Van’s family, with his older brother, Luke Parker, excelling as an ECNL player, and their father, Levi, who played Division 1 soccer at the University of San Diego. Van’s family background has instilled a passion for the game that continues to push Van’s ambitions to reach the highest levels of soccer. 

Recently, Van undertook a two-week training stint with FC Augsburg in Germany. This training stint has attracted international attention to Van as he returned to Real Salt Lake with some European experience. 

As Van continues to develop his game, he remains focused on achieving his dream of professional soccer. With the guidance and resources available through OPSM, coupled with his innate talent and determination, the future looks exceptionally bright for this young striker.
