September 9, 2024

OPSM Pro is excited to announce the addition of Lauren Sinacola as the Lead Collegiate Advisor and Talent Scout for our Agency’s Women’s Division. With an impressive background in both playing and coaching, Lauren brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for soccer that will undoubtedly elevate the opportunities and support we offer to female athletes.

A Pioneering Force in Women’s Soccer

Lauren, born and raised in Michigan, has an extensive soccer background that began with her playing competitively in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) and being a member of the US National Pool and Regional Teams. Her youth club soccer experience with Vardar and the Michigan Hawks laid the foundation for a successful collegiate playing career at Michigan State University, where she was a four-year starter, and team captain, and earned numerous accolades, including First Team All-Big Ten honors.

Transitioning into coaching, Lauren quickly made her mark, becoming the first female head coach at Oregon State University, where she led the team to tie the program’s record for most wins in a single season since 2012. Her coaching journey also includes successful stints at Western Michigan University, where she was one of the youngest female head coaches in Division I, and as an assistant coach at Notre Dame, where she played a crucial role as the recruiting coordinator.

A Vision for Empowering Female Athletes

Lauren is thrilled to join OPSM, where she sees the potential to make a significant impact in the women’s division. “I have the opportunity to be a pivotal member of OPSM’s women’s division at two important levels. OPSM advises players and families within collegiate recruitment as well as professional careers. The most exciting aspect is knowing that I have an opportunity to influence the support and growth of female soccer players and their opportunities to reach their goals while working with an agency that understands the importance of investing in females at all levels,” she shared.

Lauren plans to leverage her vast experience in collegiate coaching and recruiting to guide aspiring athletes at OPSM. “Most of my 13 years of experience as a collegiate coach has been as a recruiting coordinator. My experiences and my relationships at the highest levels will benefit both the recruitment and professional side of the women’s division because of how I can help guide the athletes that decide to work with OPSM,” she explained.

Leading the Charge for Women’s Soccer at OPSM

Jeffrey Addai, CEO and Co-Founder of OPSM expressed his excitement about Lauren’s role: “Bringing Lauren on board is a significant step forward for our women’s division. Her expertise, passion, and vision align perfectly with our mission to empower female athletes at every level. Lauren’s commitment to maintaining a personalized approach in her work with players is exactly what we value at OPSM.”

Jeremy Sampson, Lead Agent of OPSM’s Agency Women’s Division, also praised Lauren’s addition to the team: “Lauren’s arrival at OPSM marks a transformative moment for our Women’s Division. Her track record in coaching and recruiting speaks for itself, and I’m confident that her leadership will open new doors for our female athletes, helping them reach their full potential.”

Lauren’s goals for the Women’s Division at OPSM are clear: “My goal and vision for the women’s division is to create a more inclusive space where women can find the support and representation they deserve, challenging the historical dominance of men in this field,” she stated. “By expanding our membership and ensuring that we accurately reflect the diverse needs and aspirations of women, we can empower our members and foster a more equitable environment.”

Lauren’s understanding of the evolving landscape of women’s soccer is also a vital asset to OPSM. “Women’s soccer has undergone a remarkable transformation over the years, evolving from a niche sport to a global powerhouse. Looking ahead, I envision women’s soccer continuing to grow in popularity and influence,” she noted.

As OPSM continues to grow and evolve, Lauren Sinacola’s addition to the team marks a significant milestone in our commitment to supporting female athletes. Her dedication to personalized service, combined with her extensive experience, will help drive the Women’s Division to new heights.
