One Pro Sports Management (OPSM) has announced its 2023-24 Event Schedule for the remainder of the year and into 2024. OPSM will host events in Ottawa, Halifax, Charlotte, Vancouver, California, Toronto, and Miami.
Each event is tailored to a specific player pool, with the goal of the scouting tour to provide opportunities to players to be discovered at all different levels, including at the professional level, college, and academy.
OPSM will host two Collegiate Combines in Ottawa and Halifax for players aged 14-18 on both the male and female side to be discovered by the top college coaches across North America. Previous OPSM Collegiate Combines have featured coaches attending from schools such as Cape Breton (U-Sports), Carleton (U-Sports), California Berkeley (NCAA D1), Chicago State (NCAA D1), among many others. The two Collegiate Combines are announced alongside OPSM’s new Collegiate Recruitment Program, which was created to guide players through their recruitment journey.
In December, three Professional Combines will take place in Charlotte, Vancouver and California, where only the top applicants across North America are selected to participate. Previous attendees of OPSM Pro Combines have gone on to trial and sign contracts in USL Championship, USL League 1, NISA, and MLS Next Pro.
Two invite-only Professional Combines will take place in Toronto and Miami in January where OPSM will use its network of players to identify and select the very best unsigned players across Canada and America.
“We are very excited to host our upcoming Off Season Scouting Tour; this will be the first time that we visit many of these locations.” said Jeff. “We are in communication with numerous professional clubs in the Canadian Premier League, USL, and NISA to attend and scout the most talented players who are selected for these events. Last year, some locations had over 450 applicants for our Pro Combine, and only 64 players were accepted into each event. It is not easy to be selected for these combines and only the top players are invited.”
